Katy and Ben booked Santa Fe as the site for their designation wedding sight unseen! I was shocked at the level of trust and blind faith, but boy, did it work out. When Katy said, we LOVE to travel and LOVE Spain and LOVE tapas, I knew exactly what we would do! They entrusted me to put together a beautiful wedding at the Hacienda Corta Caro, a beautiful private home nestled in the Santa Fe foothills.
Pigment and Parchment set the tone beautifully with their whimsical and colorful invite suite and the print that followed suit for the rest of the wedding.
We enlisted the help of La Boca, a local Spanish tapas restaurant to create a menu circling around the main course of paella which was cooked in front of guests as they entered the dining space. Bountiful cheese boards with cured meats and marinated olives decorated the tables.
Melissa of Renegade Floral knocked the flowers out of the park, with lush textural looks that we set on ceramic tiles and colorful Shantung linens. Colored glass goblets and terra cotta salt and pepper cellars from RUST Vintage, brought even more magic to the table!
In addition to a Red Chile-Cinnamon-Chocolate cake, guests were invited to roast their own gourmet s’mores to satisfy any sweet teeth. The S’more Pit, outfitted fire pits and provided the most delectable ‘mallow flavors!
To compete our Spanish these, we capped the evening off with an incredible flamenco performance. I have never seen so much passion conveyed in a dance performance like this one. It truly captivated the heart of the wedding guests!
